गांधीनगर। रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज लिमिटेड (आरआईएल) गुजरात के जामनगर जिले में दुनिया के सबसे बड़े चिड़ियाघर का निर्माण करेगी। ग्रीन्स जूलॉजिकल रेस्क्यू एंड रिहैबिलिटेशन किंगडम की विस्तृत परियोजना रिपोर्ट (डीपीआर) को हाल ही में केंद्रीय चिड़ियाघर प्राधिकरण (सीजेडए) द्वारा अनुमोदित किया गया है, जिसे आरआईएल की 280 एकड़ भूमि पर जामनगर में मोटो खावड़ी क्षेत्र के पास स्थापित किया जाएगा। यह लगभग 280 एकड़ भूमि पर बनने वाला विश्व का सबसे बड़ा चिड़ियाघर होगा, जो जामनगर में मोती खावडी स्थित कंपनी के रिफाइनरी प्रोजेक्ट के पास है।
चिड़ियाघर को आरआईएल के चेयरमैन मुकेश अंबानी के सबसे छोटे बेटे अनंत अंबानी का ड्रीम प्रोजेक्ट कहा जा रहा है। यह गुजरात वन विभाग को उन बड़ी बिल्लियों को शरण देने में मदद करने के लिए कंपनी की सीएसआर गतिविधियों का एक हिस्सा भी होगा, जो घायल हो गए हैं और उन्हें बचाया गया है। डेवलपर्स को उम्मीद है कि यह दो साल में तैयार हो जाएगा।
ग्रीन्स जूलॉजिकल रेस्क्यू एंड रिहैबिलिटेशन किंगडम में दुनिया भर से पक्षियों, सरीसृपों और जानवरों की लगभग 100 विभिन्न प्रजातियां होंगी। इसमें स्लॉथ बियर, कोमोडो ड्रेगन, भारतीय भेड़िये, रोजी पेलिकन, फिशिंग कैट्स, हिरण और अन्य दुर्लभ एवं आकर्षक जानवर होंगे।
चिड़ियाघर में चीता, जिराफ, हाथी और अफ्रीका के शेर और अन्य जानवरों के साथ ही शुतुरमुर्ग भी होंगे।
सीजेडए ने 12 फरवरी, 2019 को अपनी 33वीं बैठक में ग्रीन्स जूलॉजिकल रेस्क्यू एंड रिहैबिलिटेशन किंगडम द्वारा प्रस्तुत मास्टर लेआउट योजनाओं के साथ डीपीआर को मंजूरी दी थी।
सीजेडए वेबसाइट पर साझा किए गए चिड़ियाघर के प्लान लेआउट में फॉरेस्ट ऑफ इंडिया, फ्रॉग हाउस, इंसेक्ट लाइफ, एक्सोटिक आइलैंड, वाइल्ड ट्रेल ऑफ गुजरात और एक्वेटिक किंगडम जैसे वन्यजीव वर्गों को भी दर्शाया गया है।
मुख्यमंत्री विजय रूपाणी के अतिरिक्त मुख्य सचिव (एसीएस) एम. के. दास ने पिछले महीने एसोचैम के स्थापना सप्ताह को चिह्न्ति करते हुए एक वर्चुअल सम्मेलन में कहा था, “जैसे कि हमारे पास गुजरात में दुनिया की सबसे ऊंची प्रतिमा (केवड़िया में स्टैच्यू ऑफ यूनिटी) है, इसी तरह से जल्द ही हम एक जगह पर जानवरों की संख्या और प्रजातियों के मामले में दुनिया के सबसे बड़े चिड़ियाघरों में से एक होंगे। ऐसा चिड़ियाघर जामनगर में बहुत ही जल्द खुलने जा रहा है।”
