मथुरा । शुक्रवार की रात्रि मथुरा-वृंदावन नगरीय क्षेत्र के 9 थाना क्षेत्रों से पुलिस ने सार्वजनिक स्थान पर शराब पीने वाले 129 लोगों को पकड़ कर कानूनी कार्रवाई की है। पुलिस की इस कार्रवाई से हड़कंप मच गया है । पकड़े गए लोगों को थानों से छुड़ाने के लिए देर रात तक मजमा लगा रहा हालांकि रात्रि में ही पुलिस ने विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत चालन कर निजी मुचलके पर छोड़ दिया। लंबे समय से शिकायत मिल रही थी कि धर्म नगरी में रात के समय दुकान ठेकों आम रास्तों पर खड़े होकर लोग खुलेआम शराब पीकर हंगामा करते हैं । एसपी सिटी एमपी सिंह ने इसको गंभीरता से लिया और अपने क्षेत्र में पड़ने वाले थाने कोतवाली सदर बाजार गोविंद नगर वृंदावन कोतवाली हाईवे रिफाइनरी जमुना पार गोवर्धन में एक साथ शराबियों के खिलाफ पकड़ो अभियान चलाया।
चेकिंग में पुलिस ने 129 लोगों को अपनी हिरासत में लिया जिसमें 9 लोगों को शांति भंग करने तथा 4 लोगों के खिलाफ आबकारी एक्ट के तहत कार्रवाई की गई शेष सभी का धारा 34 के तहत चालान किया गया। खुले में शराब पीने वाले लोगों के परिजनों को पकड़े जाने की सूचना मिली तो वह थानों चौकियों पर भागे। कागजी कार्रवाई चेतावनी के पश्चात सभी को रिहा कर दिया गया। एसपी सिटी ने कहा है कि खुलेआम सार्वजनिक स्थान पर शराब पीने से धार्मिक नगरी की छवि को आघात पहुंचता है। पुलिस की यह कार्रवाई निरंतर जारी रहेगी।
