चेन्नई । ऑटोमेकर हुंडई मोटर इंडिया ने शुक्रवार को अपनी प्रीमियम 6 और 7-सीटर वाली एसयूवी अलक्जार को लॉन्च कर दी है। इस पर कंपनी के एक वरिष्ठ अधिकारी ने कहा है कि भारत की दूसरी सबसे बड़ी कार बनाने वाली कंपनी हुंडई मोटर इंडिया लिमिटेड 6/7 सीटर अलक्जार के लॉन्च के साथ अपने स्पोर्ट यूटिलिटी व्हीकल (एसयूवी) सेगमेंट में अच्छी बिक्री की उम्मीद कर रही है।
उन्होंने आगे कहा, “कंपनी की कुल बिक्री में करीब 45 फीसदी का योगदान उसकी एसयूवी का रहता है। प्रीमियम एसयूवी 6 / 7 सीटर अलक्जार के लॉन्च के साथ एसयूवी की बिक्री के बढ़ने की उम्मीद है।”
पिछले वित्त वर्ष में घरेलू बाजार में बिक्री और निर्यात को मिलाकर कंपनी ने कुल 575,877 इकाइयां बेची। कंपनी की नई प्रीमियम एसयूवी 6/7 सीटर अलक्जार को शुक्रवार लॉन्च किए जाने की बात पर हुंडई इंडिया के निदेशक (विपणन और बिक्री) तरुण गर्ग ने संवाददाताओं से कहा कि कंपनी की बिक्री में 45 फीसदी का योगदान एसयूवी (वेन्यू, क्रेटा, कोना और टक्सन) का है और अलक्जार के आने से यह संख्या बढ़ जाएगी।
वर्तमान में कंपनी एसयूवी सेगमेंट में 25 फीसदी बाजार हिस्सेदारी रखती है।
गर्ग ने कहा कि कोविड महामारी के चलते लोग अधिकतर अपनी गाड़ियों से सफर करना पसंद कर रहे हैं और चूंकि टीकाकरण की प्रक्रिया भी जारी है। ऐसे में अनुमान लगाया जा रहा है कि आर्थिक विकास की दर दोहरे अंकों में होगी, संभावनाएं अच्छी हैं।
नए मॉडल के बाजार में आने की उम्मीद 6-8 हफ्तों के भीतर लगाई जा रही है। इस पर गर्ग ने कहा कि फैक्ट्री में तीसरे शिफ्ट पर काम सोमवार से शुरू होने वाला है।
