नई दिल्ली। खुदरा कारोबारियों के संगठन कंफेडरेशन ऑफ ऑल इंडिया ट्रेडर्स (कैट) ने 26 फरवरी को अपने ‘भारत बंद’ के आह्वान से पहले रविवार को प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी को पत्र लिखा। संगठन ने इस पत्र में माल एवं सेवा कर (जीएसटी) व्यवस्था से संबंधित मुद्दों तथा प्रमुख कंपनियों के द्वारा ई-वाणिज्य नियमों के कथित उल्लंघन का जिक्र किया।
कैट ने प्रधानमंत्री से जीएसटी संरचना की समीक्षा कर सरकार को सलाह देने के लिये केंद्रीय स्तर पर विशेष कार्य समूह गठित करने की भी मांग की, जिसमें वरिष्ठ अधिकारी, कैट के प्रतिनिधि और स्वतंत्र कर विशेषज्ञ शामिल हों। कैट ने यह सुझाव भी दिया कि जीएसटी के सहज क्रियान्वयन और कर का दायरा व राजस्व बढ़ाने के लिये हर जिले में जिला जीएसटी कार्य समूह का गठन किया जा सकता है।
कैट ने कहा कि जीएसटी में कुछ हालिया संशोधनों ने सरकारी अधिकारियों को ‘मनमानी और अनैतिक शक्तियां’ दी हैं। यह ‘न्यूनतम सरकार, अधिकतम शासन’ के प्रधानमंत्री के मिशन के खिलाफ है।
