मथुरा रिफाइनरी के पूर्व ईडी बने इंडियन ऑयल के निदेशक (रिफाइनरीज़)

मथुरा। मथुरा रिफाइनरी के पूर्व कार्यकारी निदेशक व रिफाइनरी प्रमुख अरविंद कुमार ने इंडियन ऑयल के निदेशक (रिफ़ाइनरीज़) का पदभार ग्रहण किया है। श्री कुमार अपनी नई भूमिका में अपने साथ वृहद अनुभव और गहरी रणनीतिक समझ लेकर आए हैं। इससे पहले उन्होंने चेन्नई पेट्रोलियम कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड (सीपीसीएल) के प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में कार्य किया है। मथुरा रिफाइनरी में वर्ष 2016-2020 तक महाप्रबंधक, मुख्य महाप्रबंधक और कार्यकारी निदेशक व रिफाइनरी प्रमुख की भूमिका में अरविंद कुमार ने नए प्रोजेक्ट, रिफाइनरी परिचालन में सुदृढ़ता व नए उत्पाद और नवोन्मेष को बढ़ावा दिया। रिफाइनरी के ओक्टामैक्स यूनिट व एक सप्ताह में XP100 का उत्पादन उनकी कुछ उपलब्धियों में से हैं।

निदेशक (रिफाइनरीज़) बनने से पहले सीपीसीएल में अपने नेतृत्व के दौरान, श्री कुमार ने कई महत्वपूर्ण उपलब्धियाँ हासिल की हैं जिसमें सीपीसीएल और मनाली रिफ़ाइनरी के कायाकल्प के साथ-साथ वित्तीय वर्ष 2023-24 में उच्चतम उत्पादन तक पहुँचाना भी है।

श्री कुमार एक अत्यंत कुशल प्रोफेशनल हैं जिनके पास अंतर्राष्ट्रीय परियोजना प्रबंधन एसोसिएशन (आईपीएमए) से परियोजना प्रबंधन में लेवल ‘ए’ प्रमाणन (प्रमाणित परियोजना निदेशक आईपीएमए लेवल ‘ए’) है। उनके पास मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग में स्नातक की डिग्री के साथ-साथ बिजनेस एडमिनिस्ट्रेशन में मास्टर डिग्री भी है। इंडियन ऑयल को विश्वास है कि श्री अरविंद कुमार, निदेशक (रिफ़ाइनरीज़) की भूमिका में बेहतरीन नेतृत्व और नए दृष्‍टिकोण के उच्च मानक को स्थापित करेंगे। उनके नेतृत्व में कंपनी सतत और समग्र विकास को समेकित करते हुए राष्ट्र की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के मिशन को आगे बढ़ाने का कार्य करेगी।

Former ED of Mathura Refinery becomes Director (Refineries) of Indian Oil

Mathura. Arvind Kumar, former Executive Director and Refinery Head of Mathura Refinery, has taken over as Director (Refineries) of Indian Oil. Mr. Kumar brings with him vast experience and deep strategic understanding in his new role. Prior to this, he has served as Managing Director of Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL). In the role of General Manager, Chief General Manager and Executive Director and Refinery Head at Mathura Refinery from the year 2016-2020, Arvind Kumar promoted new projects, strengthening refinery operations and new products and innovation. The refinery’s Octamax unit and production of XP100 in a week are some of his achievements.

Prior to becoming Director (Refineries), during his leadership at CPCL, Shri Kumar has achieved several significant milestones including the turnaround of CPCL and Manali Refinery as well as achieving the highest production in FY 2023-24. His strategic acumen has enabled CPCL to produce nationally critical fuels like ISROcen and JP-7, which are vital for ISRO and DRDO. Apart from his role at CPCL, Shri Kumar has also served as the Chairman of Indian Additives Limited (IAL), a joint venture of Chevron Oronite Company and CPCL. It specializes in the manufacture and sale of lubricating oil additives. Under his leadership, IAL achieved the highest ever profit in 2023-24. He was also on the Board of Cauvery Basin Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (CBRPL), which is overseeing the development of a new refinery and petrochemicals complex at Nagapattinam.

Shri Kumar is a highly accomplished professional holding a Level ‘A’ certification (Certified Project Director IPMA Level ‘A’) in Project Management from the International Project Management Association (IPMA). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering as well as a Master’s degree in Business Administration. With an illustrious career spanning 34 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, Shri Kumar has vast experience and expertise in his field. Indian Oil is confident that Shri Arvind Kumar will set high standards of leadership and innovative approach in the role of Director (Refineries). Under his leadership, the Company will pursue the mission of ensuring energy security of the nation while integrating sustainable and holistic growth.
