नई दिल्ली । देश के सबसे धनी खेल संघ और क्रिकेट की सबसे अमीर संस्था, भारतीय क्रिकेट कंट्रोल बोर्ड (बीसीसीआई) ने वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 में 1,159 करोड़ रुपये का आयकर चुकाया है, जो कि पिछले वर्ष की तुलना में 37 प्रतिशत अधिक है।
राज्यसभा में एक प्रश्न के लिखित उत्तर में, वित्त राज्य मंत्री पंकज चौधरी ने पिछले पांच वर्षों में दायर रिटर्न के आधार पर बीसीसीआई द्वारा भुगतान किए गए आयकर और उसकी आय और व्यय का विवरण दिया।
आयकर में यह वृद्धि 2019-20 में गिरावट के बाद हो रही थी, जिसके बाद इसकी आय में भी कमी आई क्योंकि कोविड-19 महामारी के दौरान क्रिकेट कई महीनों के लिए निलंबित था और जब अंततः आयोजित किया गया, तो बायो-बबल के कारण खर्च बढ़ गया। वित्तीय वर्ष 2020-21 में, बीसीसीआई ने आयकर में 844.92 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान किया, जो 2019-20 में भुगतान किए गए 882.29 करोड़ रुपये से कम है। वित्तीय वर्ष 2019 में, बोर्ड ने कर के रूप में 815.08 करोड़ रुपये का भुगतान किया, जो 2017-18 में भुगतान किए गए 596.63 करोड़ रुपये से अधिक है।
वित्त वर्ष 2021-22 में बीसीसीआई ने 7,606 करोड़ रुपये का राजस्व कमाया, जबकि उसका खर्च 3,064 करोड़ रुपये के करीब रहा। 2020-21 में इसकी आय 4,735 करोड़ रुपये और खर्च 3,080 करोड़ रुपये रहा।
