शेरशाह ने सिद्धार्थ परमवीर चक्र कैप्टन विक्रम बत्रा के किरदार निभाया है। कारगिल युद्ध के दौरान, कैप्टन बत्रा ने महत्वपूर्ण शिखर प्वाइंट 4875 पर कब्जा करने में अपना जीवन बलिदान कर दिया था। उनकी बहादुरी के लिए उन्हें यूनिट के सदस्यों के बीच शेरशाह कहा जाता था।
